Hailing originally from the beautiful Redwood Coast of California, she has found a warm and supportive home in the Mid-West. Trained in Ballet and Modern dance, she focused on Middle Eastern Dance in 1995 and still finds it to be one the most beautiful, challenging and rewarding passions in her life. Known for her fusion stylings and graceful arm work, Jennifer Rose continually pushes the creative envelope of American Belly Dance.

Past projects include co-founding, and serving as an artistic director and principle performer for Sandstorm Middle Eastern Dance Company in Dayton, Ohio. As well as producing well received theatrical revues: Raqs Nouveau and Vaudeville Nights.  She is currently directing Raqdoll Dance Collective which fuses elements of Fire Arts, vintage Vaudeville, American Bellydance, and Sideshow showmanship (www.raqdoll.com)

Jennifer Rose has a deep respect for the history of the dance and continues her studies of the many of the different genres within the form and works hard to impart both cultural understanding as well as technique to her own students.  She is a seasoned restaurant performer, having danced at Café Istanbul, Phoenicia, Boston’s Bistro, T.J.’s and Gajah Wong West.
