TwoPita and Caravan Workshops are proud to present an afternoon with

Come and spend an afternoon with Bellydance Super Star, Zoe Jakes! She'll be teaching two fantastic topics!
Fast and Furious Hips
This Workshop will use specific Pilates and yoga based exercises to strengthen the core muscles neccesary for backbends, belly rolls, and tight hip work. Hip, head, shoulder and chest isolations will be drilled, as well as working on smoothing transitions from move to move. We will go over lots of pop-lock technique, as well as fluidity of movement, stressing on posture and upper body awareness. This class is for all levels
&
Unleashing the inner spaz!!!!
Fancy kicks, tight spins and those elusive concepts to take pops and locks
to the next level by mixing the liquid smoothness of a snake with hits and
stops that look almost inhuman. This workshop will focus on ways to perform
with passionate expression while maintaining control and grace. These concepts
will be fully broken down using short combinations as examples so the student
is able to get a real understanding of the mechanisms behind them.

Zoe is a proud member of The Indigo, and is currently touring with the new Miles Copeland bellydance project, Le Serpent Rouge, with Rachel Brice and Mardi Love. She began touring with Bellydance Superstars in the fall of 2005, and can be seen performing on the new tribal solos DVD, just out. Zoe has studied with many of the incredibly talented performers in Northern California, Jill Parker, Rachel Brice, Frederique, Elizabeth Strong and performed with the Suhaila Dance Company in 2003. Combining talents with David Satori and Tommy Cappel to create Tribal Derivations last spring, Zoe discovered she enjoyed creating music, and plans to make more. When not with the Indigo, she tours with The Yard Dogs Roag Show, a cartoon circus sideshow of wacky dimension, and has been seen tearing it up with the Extra Action Marching Band. An innovative dancer, Zoe has been said to have her own unique take on Tribal bellydance. She takes her influence from Art Nouveaux, tango, hip hop, and indian classical dance. She loves unicorns and has never once doubted their existence.
